TOWER Software, a leading document and records management software company, is now part of the HP Software Information Management business. The acquisition strengthens HP leadership in information management by extending HP Software e-discovery capabilities beyond information collection and retention to include records management and identification as defined by the Electronic Discovery Reference Model.

TOWER enables the HP Software business to broaden its e-discovery and compliance management solutions for government and highly regulated commercial organizations and offer integrated electronic records management, information archiving and record retention-all in a single portfolio.

TOWER also allows HP Software to address the fast-growing compliance and e-discovery requirements for Microsoft SharePoint, an application receiving increased scrutiny from e-discovery litigators, legal counsels and compliance officers.

With this acquisition, customers can manage their electronic and paper records with a single enterprise records management solution, leveraging capabilities from TOWER, HP Software and the HP Imaging and Printing business. HP is the world's largest printer company and sixth largest software company.
