E-Mail Integration

TRIM Context 6 provides integrations with the e-mail clients for Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes Mail and GroupWise.

The integrations place additional options in the e-mail clients to:

• Save a message
• Save a message with attachments
• Save attachments only
• Send attachments to Offline Records for immediate editing

The user simply clicks on the relevant button and the selected mail or its attachments are transferred into the TRIM Context 6 ECM repository.

Automated E-mail Capture

TOWER Software recognised that many customers already used e-mail folders to file their e-mail correspondence.  Rather than asking staff to file these e-mails again in an ECM context, TRIM Context 6's e-mail integration allows the users to establish links from their e-mail folders to folders in the ECM repository.  E-mails dragged into the e-mail folders will then be automatically transferred into the relevant folder in the repository.

E-mailing Content

TRIM Context 6 provides a Send to Mail Recipient function that allows sending of selected documents from the repository as attachments to e-mail messages.  The documents can be sent in their original format or they can be sent as links to the repository to reduce the network load.  TRIM Context 6 automatically detects whether recipients have access to the repository and can automatically decide whether to send the document or a link to it.
